Types of work
We have a strong reputation in a range of specialisms and a national and international client base, particularly in Europe and across North America. We have opportunities for legal jobs across our areas of noted expertise, which include corporate and commercial work, technology, employment, competition law, property, construction, planning, environment, insolvency, bioscience, agriculture, tax, trusts, and charities.
Who should apply
We welcome applications for legal jobs from candidates who have achieved a high standard of academic success, with a minimum of a 2:1 degree, and who are bright, personable, have initiative and enjoy working as part of a team.
Vacation work
The firm operates a vacation scheme and placements are available throughout the year.
Training programme
Training contracts are currently offered at Cambridge, Milton Keynes and Northampton. Trainees complete four placements of six-months each in a range of different legal specialisms. During each seat, the trainee is supervised closely by a partner or senior solicitor and progress is monitored on a day-by-day basis as well as in a formal three-monthly review, carried out mid-seat and at the end of the seat.
We provide a comprehensive induction programme specifically tailored for the needs of trainee solicitors. The PSC is coupled with an extensive programme of seminars for trainee solicitors provided by specialist in-house lawyers.
