Overview:

Denise Wilkinson is Head of our Cambridge Agriculture and Rural Business team and a partner in Hewitsons' Rural Group based in the Cambridge office. She is also chair of our Charity Group.

Experience:

Denise acts for landed estates, farm owners, tenants and their companies. She is involved in all aspects of rural land acquisition, disposal and management including complex property transactions. This includes dealing with tenant farmers and the reorganisation of farm ownership for families and trusts. Her advice includes all practical aspects of farming and of rural property ownership, including property dealings for diversification purposes, tax planning and those relating to potential development and management. Denise also has significant experience of advising on grazing rights, licences and AHA/FBT tenancies generally. Denise assisted by members of her team acts for several significant land-owning charities including the RSPB and the Beds Cambs Northants & Peterborough Wildlife Trust advising on all aspects of their property strategy and estate management. She is usually involved from the commencement of negotiations to help shape the best terms.

Denise is a member of the Agriculture Law Association and the Charity Law Association and a trustee of several local charities.
