The Charity Tribunal, set up under the Charities Act 2006 to hear appeals, reviews and references from Charity Commission decisions is set to hear its first ever appeal, a move welcomed by Chris Knight. The Tribunal is regarded as a quicker, cheaper and more accessible route of redress from Commission decisions and Hewitsons is already advising charities as to the procedure and opportunities provided by the tribunal.
