Overview:

Patricia is a Partner in our Northampton Commercial Property team.

Experience:

Patricia joined Hewitsons in June 2007 with considerable experience in negotiating commercial leases and lease renewals, acting for both landlords and tenants, as well as in freehold and leasehold commercial sales and purchases. She manages legal aspects of substantial leasehold portfolios for, amongst others, Travis Perkins plc and Stepnell Estates. Other areas of expertise include options, secured lending, property aspects of company acquisitions and pre-let agreements.

Background:

Patricia was educated at Northampton High School for Girls and King's College, Taunton before reading Law at Durham University, where she obtained a 2:1 degree. She went on the College of Law in York.

She trained as a solicitor at Shoosmiths in Northampton before qualifying into their Commercial Property department in 1994. Patricia took a career break, spending two years' teaching in France before returning to the UK and to the Law in 1999. She spent some time practising residential conveyancing and then expanded her experience of Commercial Property with Taylor Walton solicitors in Luton for 5 years.
