Hewitsons announces conversion to LLP status

Hewitsons, like many other law firms and other professional partnerships, will be converting to a limited liability partnership on 1st May 2008.
The change will not affect the services provided to clients in any way.
Hewitsons LLP will be authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority to the same extent as the firm has been regulated to date.
We will still be known as Hewitsons and will continue to operate from our existing offices in Cambridge, Northampton, Milton Keynes and Saffron Walden.
An LLP is a legal entity similar to a limited company that is increasingly recognised as a more appropriate business structure for professional services firms such as lawyers, that have a modern and forward thinking approach to their business.
The conversion to LLP means that we are able to enhance our operational structure and offer better career opportunities, that will help us to recruit high quality candidates in future to the firm.
The official registered name of the firm will be Hewitsons LLP.
The LLP is registered at Companies House under Registered No. OC334689.
