Overview:

Luisa joined Hewitsons in 2001 and became a partner of the firm in 2002. She heads the competition/antitrust law unit within the firm. The unit has also become responsible for other regulatory issues, including product safety, novel food filings and implementation of the EU's REACH Regulation. She is also an active member of the commercial/technology department. Luisa's frequent and close dealings with senior management has over the years provided her with extensive experience in providing legal and strategic guidance to businesses. Companies particularly welcome her commercial approach and ability to deliver constructive and pragmatic advice.

Background:

Prior to joining Hewitsons, Luisa worked for other law firms, including, Addleshaw Goddard (London) and De Berti Jacchia Franchini Forlani (Milan and Brussels). She has also worked in-house for a number of multinational companies, namely, as legal counsel for the Benetton Group in Italy, senior legal counsel for Nike Europe in The Netherlands, and senior competition counsel for Visa International in London. Luisa speaks fluent Italian and good French.
