Overview:

Katharine is a solicitor in Hewitsons' employment law team. She advises clients on both contentious and non-contentious areas of employment law.

Experience:

Katharine advises clients on a full range of employment law work. Her contentious experience includes unfair dismissal, redundancies, disability discrimination, sex and race discrimination and breach of contract claims. Katharine's non contentious experience includes drafting contracts of employments, directors' service agreements, company policies and procedures. She advises on the variation of terms and conditions of employment, the conduct of capability and disciplinary procedures and dealing with disabled employees. Katharine also has experience in drafting and advising on post termination restrictions.

Background:

Katharine read Law with French Law and Language at the University of East Anglia before completing her legal practice course at the College of Law in York. She trained as a solicitor at Eversheds LLP, qualifying into their employment law team in September 2005. Katharine joined Hewitsons in April 2007.
