Judith helping the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance to save lives
As treasurer of the Northants MG Club, Judith Thorpe is heavily involved in raising funds for its chosen charity, the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.
Each year the club organises a Classic Car Run to raise money for the air ambulance, which takes in 85 miles of the Northamptonshire countryside.
Judith said: “This is a vital charity that provides people with a greater chance of recovery following a serious accident. A few years ago, the owner of a local garage used by the club was badly burnt and without the support of the air ambulance he wouldn’t be here today. The club is delighted to be able to raise much-needed funds for this fantastic charity.
“The Classic Car Run is a big commitment, with hundreds of man hours being spent on the organisation, from routes and goody bags to rally plaques.”
Established in 2003, the air ambulance provides emergency medical air support to Northamptonshire and Warwickshire. The air ambulance speedily delivers doctors and consultants to the scene of accidents, providing life-saving support on the way to hospital.
