Overview:

Benjamin is a Trainee Solicitor based at our Cambridge Office.

Experience:

Prior to joining Hewitsons, Benjamin worked as an Adjudicator at the Financial Ombudsman Service resolving disputes between insurance companies and individual consumers. Since September 2009, Benjamin has worked in our Commercial Property department where he assisted in acting for landlords, tenants and companies. Some of the work he has been involved with includes acting for landlords in granting licences to underlet, acting for tenants in lease renewals, undertaking first registrations and dealing with Stamp Duty Land Tax issues.

Benjamin is now in the Employment department and has assisted in acting for both employers and employees in contentious matters, including unfair dismissal claims and breach of contract claims. He has also assisted in non-contentious matters such as business restructuring.

Background:

Benjamin read Law at the University of Sussex, graduating in 2007 with First Class Honours. He completed his Legal Practice Course at the Inns of Court School of Law in London in 2008.
