Neil committed to maintain local area through charity work

Neil Harpham, a partner in Hewitson’s Corporate Team, has been a trustee at Cold Ashby Playing Fields Association (CAPFA) in Northamptonshire for the past six years, helping to maintain and develop the playing fields to benefit local residents.

As well as attending monthly trustee meetings, Neil is also regularly involved in fundraising events for the charity. The trustees also operate a rota for cutting the grass on the children’s play area, as well as an additional rota for running the pavilion bar during the cricket season. Neil also advises on legal matters and has re-drafted the constitution of the charity as well as organising the first registration of the property.

Neil said: “I became involved with CAPFA through my work as a Parish Councillor. It’s great to give something back to the community and ensure the recreation area is maintained for the benefit of the local people.”

Neil also volunteers as a trustee for The Richard Ward Foundation, which was set up to provide financial assistance to students in the parishes of Welford and Cold Ashby.  He has been elected representative trustee for Cold Ashby Parish Council since 2008.
