Overview:

Anne is an Associate in the Commercial Property team in Cambridge.

Experience:

Anne advises on a full range of core property work. Having worked in the mortgage department at Norwich Union, she has considerable experience of property finance including the enforcement of mortgagee's remedies. Since then she has specialised first in the acquisition of care homes and then on securitisation of portfolios of the care homes. She then moved across to the education sector where she provided advice to further and higher education clients. This included the acquisition and disposal of campuses and also leases particularly where education clients needed short term accommodation. Other work for education clients included student residential accommodation and other occupational rights. In addition, Anne has worked on a lot of large scale projects such as the disposal of a portfolio of 400 pubs, acting at different times for the buyer, seller or lender.

Background:

Anne read European Studies with Swedish and French at the University of East Anglia and then joined the Civil Service. Following a career break, she qualified first as a legal executive and then as a solicitor while working for Norwich Union. She moved to Eversheds in 1998 where she worked in the Norwich and then the Cambridge offices. She started working at Hewitsons in 2007.
