Overview:
Daniel is a Partner and head of the Cambridge Private Client Team. He advises clients on a full spectrum of estate planning and tax issues.
Experience:
Daniel deals with Wills, Capital Tax and Estate Planning. He advises individuals and Trustees on the establishment and use of Trusts for asset protection, succession, Estate and Tax Planning.
Daniel has extensive experience in Probate and Estate Administration involving business property, agricultural property, Lloyd's assets and foreign assets. In addition Daniel advises on Court of Protection and Office of the Public Guardian issues including Deputyships (formerly Receiverships) and Powers of Attorney. He also advises on statutory Wills and applications to the Court for gifts to be made on behalf of incapacitated individuals.
Background:
Daniel graduated with a degree in Business Law before completing his Legal Practice Course. He trained and worked as a solicitor in Nottingham before joining Hewitsons in May 1999. He became a Partner in May 2003. He is a member of STEP and is Treasurer of STEP with the Cambridge Branch. Daniel is also a member of the Law Society Probate Section.
