Overview:

Peter is a partner in the Cambridge private client team. He advises private clients and charitable bodies on a wide range of private client work.

Experience:

For private clients Peter advises on capital tax planning, the formation and variation of trusts and on Wills. He deals with the administration of estates including those with a foreign element.

He advises private clients on the preparation of Lasting Powers of Attorney, is involved with Court of Protection matters and also with the general administration of trusts (both for private clients and charitable trusts).

The private clients who Peter deals with cover a wide spectrum and include advising owners of landed estates and businesses of all types.

Background:

Peter read law at Cambridge University. He then qualified as a Solicitor in 1974 in a well known City firm where he worked for some years as an Assistant Solicitor before joining Hewitsons in 1978 and becoming a partner in 1980.

He is involved with the Charity Law Association. He is also an active member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners having formerly been on the Committee of the Cambridge branch for some years.
