Since the beginning of the pandemic, our priorities have been to protect the health and wellbeing of our staff, to continue to deliver 'absolute client focus' to our clients and maintain our commitment to the communities in which we live and work -something which has been a priority throughout our 175 year history.
With offices in Cambridge, London, Northampton and Milton Keynes, we offer a wide range of services; adapting and integrating to meet the needs, demands and aspirations of our clients. We have developed expertise that is proven and renowned across all areas of our work.
In addition to its strong foothold in the UK market, the firm's international services are strengthened by the corporate team's involvement in LawExchange International, an association of 37 pre-eminent legal practices around, which was founded by Hewitsons.
Our commitment to the community is at the very heart of the business. We show this by offering free legal advice to small charities, supporting our staff who take part in work for good causes, such as the team of people who have been sewing masks for NHS workers, and by raising money for good causes through our charitable trust. Through our dedicated charitable trust, we organise the annual Chariots of Fire event in Cambridge which raises over £50,000 every year for charities which are selected as the year's recipients.
Through this event, we have now raised over £1.48 million for a wide variety of worthwhile charities. https://www.chariots-of-fire.co.uk/previous-charities.
While the trustees of Hewitsons Charitable Trust made the difficult decision to cancel the event this year because of the pandemic, they are currently reviewing our charitable donations for 2020 to ensure that we are supporting areas of the local community that need it most.
