In a noteworthy decision, the High Court has awarded a 91 year old man the right to purchase the home which he shared with his deceased cohabitant under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.
Following the publication of the McLaren report on 18 July, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has asked the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to impose a blanket ban on Russian Olympic and Paralympic athletes entered for the Rio games which start next month.
Last month the IAAF upheld a provisional suspension on Russian track and field athletes which means that they are unable to compete for Russia in Rio next month. An appeal was lodged on 3 July with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) which will be heard on 19 July.
