Charity Commission updates COVID-19 guidance in relation to charity meetings
The Charity Commission has this month updated its COVID-19 guidance in regard to “AGMs and other meetings: postponing or cancelling meetings”.
Our annual charity mince pie event, usually held at the start of December, will regrettably be cancelled this year due to ongoing COVID-19 precautions. We will, however, continue our appeal for donations to EVE, a Northamptonshire women’s refuge charity working hard to transform the lives of those affected by domestic abuse. Sadly, due to the pandemic, support is in even higher demand than usual.
EVE would be grateful for any donations this year. To comply with COVID-19 precautions, gift items need to be brand new and unwrapped. Please call EVE on 01604 978275 by the end of November 2020 to arrange a date and time to donate an item.
Alternatively, cash donations or gift vouchers would also be welcomed. Cash donations can be made to EVE’s account:
Sort code 40-35-04
Account number 61479512
Account name NVCFR,
Quoting the reference ‘Hewitsons Xmas’.
Please send gift vouchers to EVE, PO Box 76, Northampton, NN1 5RL. Vouchers in values of £5 or £10 are greatly appreciated as they help EVE’s staff to distribute gifts equally.
We will very much miss seeing you all this year and hope to be welcoming you back for mince pies and mulled wine in 12 months’ time!
