On Sunday 23rd September 2012, Northampton-based partners David Browne and Neil Harpham, solicitor Dorian Rees and legal PA Ruth Fitch all took part in Cycle 4 Cynthia, an event designed to raise money for the Cynthia Spencer Hospice. Riders can undertake a 5-mile, a 25-mile or a 50-mile cycle route around the Northamptonshire countryside. Cycle 4 Cynthia has raised thousands of pounds since its inception in 2004 and this year attracted over 1000 cyclists. The 2012 ride started in the gardens of Althorp House and riders were set off by Radio 1's Jo Wiley. A fantastic day was had by all and many thousands of pounds were raised yet again. David and Ruth both did the 50-mile circuit in an impressive 3 hours and 30 minutes, whereas Dorian took 4 hours and 10 minutes (mainly due to "gearbox" failure). Neil did the 25-mile circuit in a solid 2 hours. Hewitsons are proud sponsors of Cycle 4 Cynthia and Northampton partner John Shepherd is a key figure in the event's organisation. Further details of the event can be found here: http://www.cycle4cynthia.co.uk/index.php
