Hewitsons grow as town scores high.

Northampton has been recognised as the best performing UK town by global information services company, Experian in its 2013 annual research.

This acknowledgment goes hand in hand with Northamptonshire also being named as the most enterprising county in Britain in 2012 by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.

The research was scored over four key measures; the number of start ups, rate of insolvencies, the level of financial health and turnover growth compared to 2012. Each town and city was then given a score between one and five against each key measure. Northampton was the only place in the country to score 19, dropping only one point for financial strength.

Hewitsons partner and Northamptonshire Ambassador, Dominic Hopkins, said “Northamptonshire is an exciting place to be at the moment. There is real optimism around and that is good news for both investment and jobs. As a firm, we are investing for growth and are delighted that we and our clients are part of this developing story.” The nationally recognised law firm acts for many of the region’s most successful established companies as well as for start ups and early stage businesses that are finding their feet.

Building on its historic roots in the town, Hewitsons’ recent relocation to new office premises at Elgin House, along Billing Road in Northampton is a strong statement of the firm’s commitment to and ambitions for the region, with the premises able to accommodate the firm’s expansion plans for the next 10 years.
