Bill Thatcher is a Partner and a member of the firm's Commercial practice and Technology Sector Group.
Bill represents clients across many industries as well as public sector organisations in addition to charities / not-for-profit organisations. He handles a wide range of commercial and contract work for national and international clients. This includes research and development arrangements; a broad range of technology licensing contracts; all sorts of contracts for supply of goods and/or services (from either perspective); manufacturing contracts; distribution/agency contracts; I&CT supply, licensing and support agreements; publishing contracts; all aspects of doing business online; data protection; and many other commercial arrangements.
Bill holds a degree from Cambridge University, where he read a combination of engineering and philosophy. He was commissioned into and served in the Royal Engineers and arrived by a circuitous route as a trainee solicitor at Hewitsons where he has been practising commercial law since 1990.
