Carolyn Bagley represents the firm's Private Wealth team Section in Milton Keynes and works closely with her many Private Wealth  colleagues, particularly those in Northampton.

Experience

Carolyn advises individuals (including business owners), and Trustees. She has extensive experience of: • Tax Planning, (particularly using Trusts and Wills); • Trust Creation and Management; • Probate and Intestacy Administration (including business, agricultural and heritage property, foreign assets, and mitigating tax through non-domicile claims and equitable/constructive trust claims); • Deeds of Variation of Wills; • Powers of Attorney: • Pension trusts (including interpreting trust issues and dealing with the effect of the death of pension scheme members); • Protection issues (including applications for Statutory Wills and gifts/variations to be made on behalf of incapacitated clients).

Background

Carolyn Qualified as a Solicitor in 1985 after reading Jurisprudence at Worcester College, Oxford. After spending 25 years with a Top 30 law firm Carolyn joined Hewitsons as a Partner in 2010.

Additional information

Carolyn is a qualified member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and a member of the Private Client Section of the Law Society. Carolyn was also Past President of the Northamptonshire Law Society and Past President of the Northamptonshire Junior Chamber.
