Emma is an Associate in the Private Wealth team, based in the firm’s Cambridge office.
Emma has considerable experience of advising clients in relation to their Wills and their Inheritance Tax position. She deals with a wide range of estates, including those with a foreign element and works closely with colleagues in the Dispute Resolution team when estates are subject to claims and challenges. She prepares and advises on Lasting Powers of Attorney and has been involved in a number of applications to the Court of Protection. She also advises in relation to Trusts and deals with the preparation of Trust deeds and supplementary documents.
Emma read Jurisprudence at St Hugh’s College, Oxford. She qualified with a firm in Cambridge and joined Hewitsons in 2008.
Emma is a member of STEP (the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners). She is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) and the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT).
Emma is named as a Recommended Lawyer in the Legal 500 2017 Guide.
