Lynne is an Associate who advises clients on both contentious and non-contentious areas of employment law.
Lynne has extensive experience advising clients, predominantly employers and senior executives, on the full range of employment law. Her contentious experience includes advising on Employment Tribunal claims, including unfair dismissal, all areas of discrimination and breach of contract. Lynne’s non-contentious experience includes guiding employers through statutory recognition procedures, advising on TUPE transfers, restructures/redundancies and post termination restrictions. In the specialist area of business immigration, Lynne has developed substantial experience advising employers on right to work checks and the recruitment of non-EEA nationals, including under the Points Based System.
Lynne studied for her degree in Law & Business Studies at the University of Birmingham after which she went on to complete the Legal Practice Course at De Montfort University (based at the University of Birmingham). Lynne then worked as a Finance Paralegal Manager for Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in London for 2 years before commencing her training contract with Fennemores in Milton Keynes. Lynne qualified into Fennemores’ employment team in September 2005 and joined the Hewitsons’ employment team in May 2006.
Lynne regularly speaks at seminars and training sessions on various areas of employment law and practice, whether in-house to clients, HR or to business groups. She hosts the Milton Keynes HR Club, a popular and successful forum for HR professionals to discuss matters affecting them with fellow HR professionals
