Martyn Robinson - Senior Solicitor


Martyn is a Senior Solicitor in the Charities & Education team, dealing with a wide range of charity and education sector matters.


Martyn qualified as a solicitor in 2013 specialising in charity and education law, before joining Hewitsons in 2014. His work includes charity formations, amending governing documents, incorporations and other forms of restructuring, charity mergers, academy conversions, all dealings with the Charity Commission including registrations, permissions, orders and schemes, trading and fundraising issues, strategic and governance reviews, and support for trustees. Martyn advises all types of charities, social enterprises, schools, educational institutions and associated bodies, as well as individuals and businesses with interests in these areas.


Martyn originally studied History at the University of Birmingham, and worked for the Forestry Commission and the Community Development Foundation before embarking on his legal career. Martyn completed the GDL at Kaplan Law School in London and the LPC at Nottingham Law School, achieving a distinction.
