Valerie Lambert

Overview
Valerie is a Partner in our Cambridge Employment Law team and has built her practice around High Court disputes, in particular disputes involving restrictive covenants and confidential information, usually advising commercial clients.
Experience
Valerie is known for her contentious experience including dealing with High Court claims for breach of contract and restrictive covenant disputes. Valerie advises clients across the spectrum of employment law issues having experience in Employment Tribunal claims spanning unfair dismissals, TUPE and discrimination. A further area of significance for Valerie is dealing with dismissals and grievances. Valerie's non-contentious experience includes working on TUPE transfers, advising on business reorganisations and redundancies, drafting Directors' Service Agreements together with standard contracts of employment as well as drafting company policies in relation to legislative requirements. Valerie also advises on the variation of terms and conditions of employment.
Background
Valerie read English Literature at London University and worked in sales and marketing for Whitbread prior to undertaking the College of Law Common Professional Exam and Legal Practice Course. She trained as a solicitor at Hewitsons in Cambridge, qualifying into their employment team in September 2004. Valerie has also subsequently obtained a Masters in Employment Law from Norwich University.
