Grant Making

Our specialist lawyers have advised on many grant agreements over the years, having acted both for grant-making bodies and grant recipients. These have been primarily in the sports sector but we also have relevant expertise in relation to arts and other projects. We have advised in relation to both National Lottery funding  and Exchequer and other grants; purposes have included capital projects and revenue / event purposes and we are very familiar with the key terms that usually arise (for example “clawback” periods during which some or all of the grant can be repayable if a capital asset is sold or disposed of). We can also advise in relation to indemnity issues if there are joint applicants for a grant.
