We are founder members of Cambridge Cleantech, so we understand many of the issues faced today by companies and others in the cleantech sector. As well as expertise in the sector, we also have very good experience in advising a wide range of technology companies, including businesses with interests in the environmental, renewables and low carbon sub-sectors.
The emergence of cleantech clusters has seen an increasing demand for technological solutions to issues such as the sustainability of natural resources, energy security, global warming and pollution. Technology and innovation in this sector is now seen as an important source of competitive advantage in this fast-evolving field, and ensuring that you have all the necessary intellectual property and other commercial rights is key to sustaining that competitive advantage.
Our Technology team has years of experience working with some of the leading cleantech players, particularly those in and around Cambridge’s international cleantech cluster. We advise on all aspects of intellectual property and commercial contract work, from the protection and exploitation of IP, to the drafting and negotiation of contracts for what are often complex deals.
We also work closely with our corporate colleagues who advise on the investment and project finance aspects of these deals.
Andrew is an excellent lawyer who understands the legal and technical aspects of IT whilst never losing sight of the commercial big picture. His MBA background gives him a valuable "edge" in dealing with numbers as well as words, together with useful insight into business issues”. (Comment from a consultant contact)
“Andrew was well able to offer sound advice that was practical, and did not just represent the technical legalities. Clearly Andrew understands the legal side as well as anyone, but he also has a wider perspective to contribute, which is refreshing”. (Comment from a client)
