Our specialist team of lawyers have the expertise and understanding to support and advise older and vulnerable individuals, their families and carers on a range of legal issues.
Our team is sensitive to the difficulties faced when a loved one is affected by disease, disability or injury. Whether you need advice around care funding, the Court of Protection, the Mental Capacity Act, safeguarding, making a lasting power of attorney or anything else relating to older or vulnerable people, our lawyers provide practical, sensitive, easy-to-understand advice and support.

I help vulnerable and incapacitated clients, their families and carers by providing legal support when they need it most. I also help them navigate complex areas such as safeguarding, care funding and financial abuse.
Meet the team
Support for those who need it most
Our specialist OVP team are specifically qualified to support vulnerable clients and often act as professional Attorneys and Deputies, managing finances for those who are no longer able to do so for themselves.
Members of the team have the STEP Advanced Certificate in Advising Vulnerable Clients. Full STEP members are recognised internationally as experts in their field. We’re also fully-accredited members of Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE), an association of independent lawyers who specialise in older client law. Accredited members have each undertaken the Older Client Care in Practice Award to demonstrate their experience and specialist knowledge in this area.

We specialise in the management of financial affairs and decision-making on behalf of vulnerable individuals, who often lack capacity to manage their own affairs through injury or disease, and the support of individuals under Lasting Powers of Attorney.
A need for care advice or support may arise over time or may be the result of a health problem that necessitates a stay in hospital. Getting the right advice at an early stage can help to ensure peace of mind.
Our team of Court of Protection specialists has the expertise to support you with a range of applications, whether you are looking to make an application to manage someone’s finances, need a declaration about what is in their best interests or whether you would like to become a deputy for personal welfare decisions.
Our team of professionals can support you with clear, helpful advice to find the right trust for your circumstances. We can provide initial advice about options, prepare trust documents and arrange registration with HMRC where appropriate.
